Casa del Baccio

Casa del Baccio is a wonderful Sicilan house. Inside all modern luxury and outside only pure nature. A true natural reserve experience with the comfort of today.

Casa del Baccio was just finished after restoration. The architects are well known in Sicily for their contemporary style with good mix between the true Sicilian feeling and modern elements. The house is positioned in the middle of true nature, although not too far away from towns and amenities. Here you will experience the unique Sicilian country feeling in total privacy. Casa del Baccio is part of a natural reservce and is on walking distance of one of the well known archeological Sicilian sites called 'Cava d'Ispica'. The house is managed by experienced hosts who will be available 24/24 to assist their guests and provide them with all info neccesary. The house is comfortable with modern kitchen, good bathrooms and bedrooms, crispy linen, some 60s design elements and resin/concrete floors. The house is not over designed, but breaths the rural feeling, without the lack of any comfort.

Around the house is a nice walled garden with plants from the area. There are some lawn areas and the pool is positioned wonderfully in the middle of it.

For a lovely pure Sicilian holiday this is an ideal place to stay.

Rooms description

Bedrooms

Modern style bedrooms with resin/concrete floors, old Sicilian tiles and some 60st style retro furnishings. The first double bedroom en-suite has the possibility of adding an extra bed (folding single). The second bedroom en-suite will be made up as a double bed but can also be made up on request as two 2 single beds. The sofa in this bedroom can be made up as an extra bed. In the building adjacent to the house there is another double bedroom with a private bathroom and the possibility of adding another bed (folding single)

There are 3 bathrooms, all with shower.

Kitchen

The kitchen and the living room is part of one open space area. On the side of the kitchen there is a dining table and 2 doors opening to the covered terrace with an outside dining table.

Living rooms

On the other side of the open space kitchen/living area there is a sitting area with comfortable sofa, 2 armchairs stay outside but can be also used inside and some nice 60s style retro furnishing pieces. Here is also the TV positioned.

The property is surrounded by half a hectare of land with a natural garden full of typical Mediterranean plants. The pool is 3 x 8 meters (closed from November 1st to April 30th). There are 6 sun beds. At the entrance side there is a relaxation lounge area under a canopy.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:

To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa

For the swimming pool: to guarantee the efficacy of the water treatments, while respecting legal limits (the parameter for free active chlorine in the pool is between 1.0 – 1.5 mg/l; combined chlorine ≤ 0.40 mg/l; pH 6.5 – 7.5 or equivalent oxygen)
For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
