Tucked away on the beautiful south-west coast of Sicily, this splendid property blends seamlessly into its environment, surrounded by an abundance of both cultivated and wild nature.

Le Pietre is a chic and sophisticated piece of inhabitable art. The interiors of this luxury villa are a real-life study of chiaroscuro, brought alive with a judicious choice of modern furniture and fixtures which promise an equality of form and function.

The single-storey property is made up of three separate areas: the East Room is a double suite, while the West Room is an apartment for two guests with a small kitchen and dining area and lounge. Each has a separate entrance and private garden space and they can be rented independently or together.

The middle space is a private house belonging to the host. While this set-up is unusual, guests can expect hotel-level service, albeit as discreet and as low-key as it is luxurious.

Food is central to the experience and guests can order any meal to be eaten on their private terrace or elsewhere in the stunning grounds. A rooftop pool and lounge area offer sea views that will have guests searching for property to buy. However, they will be hard-pushed to find anything that is on a par with Le Pietre.

The hosts offer riding and jeep excursions and will share with guests their intimate knowledge of this beguiling landscape. A stay at Le Pietre is one where guests are left with no option but to switch off, rest and recalibrate. There are few places better suited to such pursuits.

Bedrooms

Both apartment suites have their own garden entrance and private outdoor space.
The West Room has a huge bed next to floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the garden. Natural materials and colours dominate, reflecting the surrounding landscape, including a baton wall of walnut wood, poured concrete floors, and long linen curtains. There is room for an extra guest on a sofa bed.
The East Room is similar in style with a vast bed and picture windows that look out on the garden. State of the art lighting combines with earthy colours and materials, while a bonsai tree lends an Asian feel to the interior.

Bathrooms

The en-suite shower rooms use local materials such as stone basins and monochromatic tiles to create atmospheric spaces with state-of-the-art fixtures and fittings.

Kitchen

The West Room has a kitchen island in walnut that includes an induction hob, mini-bar, and coffee machine. Guests can put together their own meals using the abundance of produce grown at the property. There is dining space inside Suite 120, or on the private terraces of both rooms. Guests have huge culinary flexibility and can order any of their meals to be cooked by the chef using local produce.

Living rooms

Both rooms have space to sit, lounge and write, both inside and out. The roof garden provides incredible views over olive groves to the coast, and further comfy seating, including loungers by the pool.

Le Pietre is strongly rooted in the Sicilian landscape. Nature is the driving force of the guest experience and the property is connected to its surroundings in myriad ways. The low-lying structure has a sedum roof and rooftop pool, affording guests fabulous views to the coast. The native planting in the garden makes for sculptural forms as well as providing much of the produce that is offered as part of the impeccable dining experience. Guests will find plenty of spaces to relax and recharge, whether on their private terrace, in the roof garden or in the landscaped spaces surrounding the villa.

Guests at Le Pietre are drawn to the wild beauty of the coastline, the delicious food and a rare opportunity to relax and recalibrate in an incredible landscape. Lunch, dinner, or a picnic can be cooked for you at the property and the cultural importance of food here is shown in the way that meals are very much considered part of the leisure experience. To see the wild beaches of Agrigento in a novel way, Le Pietre can organize a jeep excursion to Punta Bianca where the topography, light and colours are extraordinarily beautiful. Alternatively, discover the Valley of the Temples on horseback with a guide at golden hour. For golfers, the Kyle Phillips-designed East and West golf courses at the Verdura resort are just 50km away.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.
