Umbrian countryside house restored with a modern twist with modern comfort at walking distance from the medieval town of Bevagna

Corallo is a two-floor farmhouse with traditional looks and a modern heart.

A beautiful country villa, Corallo is conveniently located in open fields but close to the pretty towns of Bevagna, and Montefalco, famous for its Sagrantino wine.

The property is a clever blend of old and new, built using traditional materials of wood and stone with modern interior design solutions. The large windows offer fabulous views while the comfortable living area is a wonderful family room and the annex provides huge flexibility. The building is earthquake-proof.

The impressive garden is surrounded by mature trees, which create a verdant, pretty setting for the pool, while a terrace and vegetable garden add to the sense of homeliness.

A floorplan and further images are available on request.

There are three double rooms, all on the first floor. One bedroom has direct access to the garden with traditional external stone steps, while another has a walk-in wardrobe. The large annex, currently used as a sitting room and studio, could easily be used as a fourth bedroom.

The main house has three shower rooms: one en suite, one shared between the two other bedrooms and one on the ground floor. There is also a small shower room in the annex.

There is a large, modern kitchen that opens onto the dining area and living room at one end, with direct access to the garden at the other. The annex also has a small corner kitchen.

Living room

The large living room has a stone fireplace, brick-tiled floor and a big seating area. Extensive bookshelves surround the door to the entrance hall, while the opposite wall has a pair of double doors that open onto the veranda. Opposite the fireplace is the dining area, leading to the kitchen.

Other rooms

Corallo has an impressive annex that is connected to the main property by a covered hallway. The annex also has its own private entrance. The large space has a big fireplace, wooden beams and a parquet floor and is currently used as a sitting room and studio. There is a small corner kitchen, storage space and a shower room, which is ideal for use with the pool. The property has a small garage and storage space for garden tools.

The property has a solid automatic entrance gate, a private gravel parking with garage and Corallo is approached along a tree-lined drive with an automatic gate. There is a garage, as well as a large gravel parking area. The garden is fully fenced and the tiled pool (12m x 6m; depth: 1,5m- 2,2 m) is perfectly sited in front of the house and surrounded by lawn and an orchard beyond.

The property has central heating and is connected to electricity, gas and mains water supplies. Rainwater is harvested in a tank and used to irrigate. Permission to drill a 120m-deep water well has already been granted.
There is a septic tank for sewage. The property has Wi-Fi.
The house is equipped with fancoils that can be used for heating (LPG) or AC (heatpump). Drainage system in few parts of the parking and along the driveway to prevent the collection of rainwater from the fields above.
