Villa Damiano

A traditional villa from the outside, with a beautifully crafted, contemporary interior

Villa Damiano was completed in 2008 to a traditional Umbrian farmhouse design. Fully repainted in 2018, it has a light, bright, contemporary interior. 
The large, airy rooms create a beautiful flow through the spacious property, accentuated by a careful use of impressive building materials and functions, including a modern spiral staircase, huge doors, double-glazed windows, marble bathrooms, a leather floor in the main bedroom and careful use of locally sourced tiles and wood. With such close attention to detail, the house epitomises easy living.
The well-maintained garden is predominantly lawn with a large pool, shaded seating and dining areas, a vegetable garden, and a carport. The property enjoys privacy with stunning views across the rolling Umbrian countryside. The majestic hilltop town of Todi is ten minutes’ drive away.



The house sleeps 12-14 in six bedrooms: five doubles and a children’s room with two sets of bunk beds. Ground floor: double with en suite shower room; small en suite bedroom with folding bed next to the kitchen, which is ideal for children. First floor: main bedroom with king-size double, walk-in wardrobe, leather floors and a large en-suite bath and shower room with pietra dorata marble; queen-size double with en-suite bathroom; queen-size double with en-suite shower room; and a twin bunk room (four singles) with en-suite bathroom.


All en suites are designed with high-quality fixtures and fittings, including marble surrounds.


The large, expertly equipped kitchen opens onto both the dining room and the veranda. The central island has a breakfast counter and there is a fireplace for the cooler months.

Living room

The main living room is on the ground floor and stretches the width of the house, with double doors opening onto the spacious veranda. There is a fireplace for the cooler months and lots of space for everyone. This room is connected to the large dining room, which, in turn, has big double doors that open onto the kitchen. There is another living space on the first floor: a spacious, open-plan sitting area with a large plasma-screen TV and sound system, as well as a fireplace.

A laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, a wine cellar and a pantry are located on the ground floor next to the kitchen.



The landscaped garden is surrounded by unfenced private land. The beautiful pool (14m x 7m; depth: 1-2 meters) has incredible views as well as a sundeck and two covered pergolas. There is a vegetable garden, too.


Electricity; water well; LPG-fired central heating; air conditioning; Wi-Fi and satellite TV; alarm system; double glazing with mosquito nets; and garden irrigation system.

Direct environment

The villa is in a rural location just ten minutes’ drive from the medieval city of Todi. While neighbouring properties and villages can be seen, Villa Damiano maintains peaceful privacy.

The majestic, hilltop, walled town of Todi is a short drive from the villa. A study at the University of Kentucky, concluded that Todi is one of the best places in the world to live on the basis of its environment, housing and lifestyle. Cars can be parked at the base of the hill, from where a funicular lift takes pedestrians to the town centre in a couple of minutes. While the views are breathtaking, Todi also boasts an extensive range of restaurants, shops and cultural and historical attractions.


Air The nearest airports are: Perugia [PEG] (55km) with direct flights from Rotterdam [Transavia], Brussels [Ryanair] and London [BA and Ryanair]; Rome Fiumicino [FCO] (177km); Rome Ciampino [CIA] (160km); Florence [FLR] (210km). Train There is a train station at Todi (2km) and car rental is available at the station. Road The E45 motorway exit closest to the property is at Todi (2km) for Rome, Perugia and Florence.
