This very nice ancient small farmhouse complex claimed to date back to the 1500-1600s is situated in the green hills surrounding Lake Trasimeno. In the State Archives the current owners found evidence that in 1859, when the region of Umbria was still Papal State, it belonged to the Marquis Geremia Misciatelli Mocenigo Soranzo (one of the descendants is currently an active wine producer from his Castle of Montegiove closeby).

The property is located in the council of Piegaro, halfway the hamlets Ponnibiale/San Martino/Pratalenza and the medieval Castle of Greppolischieto. The house is completely independent and may be reached via a well maintained asphalt road where the final track is gravel in good condition.

The completely to be restored property consists of three buildings: main, majestic and imposing building on 3 levels, first annex totally on one single floor plus a second annex.

Once acquired this property, SpecialUmbria can offer turn key solutions for this farmhouse and its annex with private swimming pool, fully designed and modelled to your own wishes. The entire process from restoration plan up to and including full completion may take 1 to 1,5 years. Since 2008 SpecialUmbria has developed several similar top quality villas and apartments in the same area (see the rental section of this website for the profiles): Casa Bellaria, Casa Azzurra, Casa Boronia, Casa Il Sogno, Casa Refogliano and Apartments L'Arco, Granaio, Podere Posabile, Pazzo, Piazza and Pozza.

This is a place with unique characteristics: vast views on the green, Umbrian hillsides without any disturbing elements, not isolated but with a lot of privacy, close to a village and several facilities.
