La Lamia
The thick white painted walls of this pure Puglian house are the strongest design elements in La Lamia and combine perfectly with the surrounding nature.
La Mamia is a former Puglian country side home (a 'lamia') which recently has been restored by a known architect and designer, well known for his pure design with clear lining.
This cosy house, just outside Ostuni, is nestled in the middle of an uncontaminated an verdant nature with secular olive threes, almond trees and many other fruit trees like figs, citrus trees, pears and grapes. Everything here is about slow rhythms and relaxing atmosphere. The house is sparsely furnished to keep to an 'empty' design but detailed with an elegant and simple touch, embracing their guests in their comfort and needs. Outside the pool overlooking the nature, the outside bbq area, the lounging terrace is the perfect place to be.
Ostuni is scenic white town on a hill dominantly postioned in the country side near the coast. A country side filled with centuries old olive trees. Ostuni is lively especially in the evenings. Spending your days at one of the good beach clubs nearby, or if you like the natural reserve, and the evenings in Ostuni, or one of the other small white towns in the area, could be your perfect holiday rhythm. Although having diner at La Lamia and cooking yourself is dreamy as well. Much to decide!
