La Mura
La Mura is a sleek, contemporary villa where natural materials such as wood, marble and stone, ensure it sits comfortably in its ancient setting
This stunning contemporary villa, designed in collaboration by two well-known architects, sits in harmony with its ancient setting, perfectly placed next to the pretty town of Ostuni and the breathtaking beaches of the Adriatic.
The property’s lateral design is beautifully sculptural. The pure-white exterior is (almost) windowless on the front, bisected by the dramatically simple line of steps to the roof. On the other side there are lots of windows and doors opening onto the terraces and leading to the pool.
Tradition mixes with modernity and strong architectural lines are softened by landscaping that includes trees and shrubs and an organic vegetable garden where guests are encouraged to help themselves. La Mura is as much about the outside as the inside and an abundance of natural and often local materials, such as wood, marble, stone, linen and leather, provide texture and further anchor the property to its surroundings.
Guests are accommodated in comfy en-suite bedrooms with stunning views. In this house, every holiday need and whim has been thought of, and with a kitchen, dining table and lounge area both inside and out, this is a property where guests are implored to switch off and unwind.
The coastal and cultural wonders of Puglia are on the doorstep but, mostly, guests will find all that they want and need is here at this sensational villa.
