Lamario
Lamario is a gentle property where natural materials such as stone, wood, linen and ceramics perfectly showcase its vernacular architecture, inviting guests to relax while offering the perfect base from which to explore this alluring spot in Italy’s heel.
Lamario is an elegant property that is perfectly placed to capture the best of everything this part of Puglia has to offer. Set in a hectare of garden and grounds, it is surrounded by olive and citrus groves not far from the attractive Adriatic coastline.
A clever build and restoration project has resulted in a new lamia that houses the main living space and two en-suite bedrooms. The third bedroom occupies the original lamia and the original trullo makes an impressive shower room.
Using a simple white palette, the design looks to the natural world for decoration including stone, wood, linen and beautiful bright green ceramics made locally.
This is a property that encourages guests to make use of the fabulous outside space. A well-equipped outdoor kitchen sits next to a large dining table under a pergola, which also offers shade to the outdoor living room. Guests can find plenty of spots to sit and socialise, take a siesta in the shade, or catch up on their book pile. A perfectly placed pool completes the picture.
While there is more than enough to occupy guests at Lamario, it would be remiss not to venture out of the gates to discover the baroque towns, white villages and stunning beaches that dot this landscape.
