Masseria Celeste

The exquisite restoration of this 350-year-old farm has landed at the perfect point between stark and overdressed, indulging guests in luxurious comfort inspired by the natural beauty of the Puglian landscape.

Masseria Celeste is a large estate in the heart of Puglia not far from the coves and beaches of the Adriatic. The 350-year-old restored farm accommodates guests in a series of connecting buildings and outbuildings, including the Cumersa, which is the main house, and the Garden Trulli which are the conical limestone buildings found throughout the Itria Valley. The property comfortably sleeps 20, with room for two more if needed, making it ideal for a large group in search of space and relaxation.

The natural chic interiors have been done with a light hand, celebrating the beauty of the buildings’ architectural structures and decorated with the colours of the landscape in beautifully textured linens and wood.

Guests are able to enjoy their own space and privacy, and then join together on the rooftop to enjoy delicious meals made by the private chef. The beach clubs and lidos along the 20km sandy stretch at Savelletri are fabulous, as are the local vineyards and wineries. The trulli villages such as Alberobello and Locorotondo are worth a visit, and there is an abundance of local restaurants and spas to try, before returning to the chic comfort of the Masseria.

Guests are accommodated in three separate buildings:

The Cumersa (the main house)
Four double en-suite bedrooms, large indoor living areas, kitchen & dining room.

The Garden Trulli
Two double en-suite bedrooms, two living rooms, kitchen & private plunge pool.

The Masseriola
Four double en-suite bedrooms (two of which interconnect). The Pagliaro Suite has its own living room with a sofa bed that can be used as an additional bedroom if needed, large living room, kitchen and dining room & private courtyard.

Rooms description

A judicious use of the buildings’ beautiful alcoves and arches make these magnificent bedrooms knockout luxurious. The natural materials used throughout the property such as stone, wood and linen, are matched by upholstery colours that reflect the surroundings: olive greens, lavender purples and sea blues. Vast and comfortable beds, grand stone fireplaces, marble baths in the room itself and incredible lighting are showcased with neutral white walls, creating relaxed, calm and generous spaces for guests. The Masseria can sleep 20 comfortably (22 if needed) - 10 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms - one additional bedroom convertible (with sofa bed and own ensuite, no bath just a shower) - 8 beds can be made into twins

Each room has its own en-suite with some of the baths in the bedrooms, and showers occupying separate alcoves and archways. Stone basins are set on wooden vanity units fashioned from antique furniture, while pretty glass wall lamps and ornate gilt mirrors reflect Italian crafts.

Your villa and Covid-19

To prevent any possible spread of Covid-19 and to enable you to enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday, all our villas are cleaned to the highest standard possible, and according to the latest Italian health and safety regulations.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:

  • To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
  • To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa
  • To guarantee cleaning and disinfection of all areas according to national authority guidelines. Further information is available on request
  • For the swimming pool: to guarantee the efficacy of the water treatments, while respecting legal limits (the parameter for free active chlorine in the pool is between 1.0 – 1.5 mg/l; combined chlorine ≤ 0.40 mg/l; pH 6.5 – 7.5 or equivalent oxygen)
  • For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
