Trullino
A harmonious mix of old and new, Trullino is a celebration of the traditional conical architecture of the area and beautiful, bold minimalist design.
Trullino occupies a quiet location among the ancient olive groves at the top of Italy’s heel. Just twenty minutes from the Adriatic coast and within easy striking distance of the baroque towns and villages of this attractive region, a stay here offers lots to see and do.
A skillful restoration of a 19th century trullo with five domes, combined with a new, modern building, has resulted in an exceptional property where minimalist lines merge with traditional curves.
The original white stone walls, arch openings and vaulted ceilings are enhanced by the terracotta and blue-grey tones used throughout, inspired by the colours of the Apulian landscape. The bedrooms are housed in the trullo domes while the kitchen and living space, with its wood-burning stove, is in the new building. Here, large doors open onto the garden and pool, a covered terrace with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ, and an inviting lounge area, offering lots of space for everyone.
The spacious living areas, both inside and out, and the stunning pool offer the perfect base from which to explore this unspoilt corner of Italy.
