Villa Farina

A comfortable conversion of a typical trulli, this characterful house comes with a fabulous pool

This cleverly restored trulli nestled in the olive groves could not be better placed for exploring this beautiful part of Puglia. It is close to the pretty white towns of the Itria Valley and the fabulous coastline of the Adriatic, offering guests the chance to marvel at Baroque architecture, dine in outstanding restaurants and swim in warm clear water from Instagram-worthy white sand beaches.

But guests will be more than happy, also, to stay put at this small but perfectly formed property, where cones, arches and niches have been cleverly transformed into modern living space and where roomy bedrooms provide a cool and calm retreat.

Waking hours will mostly be spent around the wonderful pool. Meals can be eaten in the shade of the poolside dining table and the peace and quiet and gentle beauty of the surrounding landscape will wrap guests in its restful magic.

Rooms description

The two spacious main bedrooms each have an en-suite shower room. Simply decorated in neutral colours they have plenty of head height and are in a newer part of the building. For each, a sliding door separates the sleeping area from a sitting area where there is a sofa bed. Both bedrooms have doors leading to the garden.

Each bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is a separate guest loo.

The tiny kitchen occupies the space beneath one of the cones and is cleverly lit from above by a halo light, accentuating the traditional architecture. The space beneath the opposite cone has been made into the perfect reading spot with a built-in sofa.

Living rooms

The house offers various nooks for eating, dining and lounging. A dining table with banquette seating makes the most of an alcove before the kitchen, and two larger spaces with a sofa in each make up the bedroom suites. There is a dining table under a portico at one end of the pool for meals outside. Here, beautiful seagrass pendant lights make the space equally lovely for evening meals and there are lots of garden spaces for guests to relax in.

Other rooms

private pool, air conditioning, espresso machine, hob/stove, oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron+board, satellite TV, television, wifi, cot, high chair, barbeque, hairdryer

This property is not specifically suited to less mobile guests.

The house is tucked into the olive groves and the outside space is bordered by a traditional stone wall. A raised pool with an infinity edge and a beautiful paved-stone surround offers pretty views over the trees from the sun loungers, while a pergola shades a dining table at one end.

Your villa and Covid-19

To prevent any possible spread of Covid-19 and to enable you to enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday, all our villas are cleaned to the highest standard possible, and according to the latest Italian health and safety regulations.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:

  • To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
  • To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa
  • To guarantee cleaning and disinfection of all areas according to national authority guidelines. Further information is available on request
  • For the swimming pool: to guarantee the efficacy of the water treatments, while respecting legal limits (the parameter for free active chlorine in the pool is between 1.0 – 1.5 mg/l; combined chlorine ≤ 0.40 mg/l; pH 6.5 – 7.5 or equivalent oxygen)
  • For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
