The modern design of this wonderful house, perfectly combined with in the natural green surroundings of the Island makes this house the ideal family holiday destination.

Casa Vendicari is a newly built holiday villa for 12 guests just outside the beautiful baroque town of Noto, very close to be best beaches of the Island.

Just over a mile from the sea on several acres of naural farm land, this holiday home, designed by a London based Italian architect, is the epitome of simple elegance. Gently adjusting to the sloping site, the house is designed entirely in dedication to the landscape, with a constant exchange between indoor and outdoor space.

Composed of geometric volumes, linked by towers inspired by antique middle eastern wind catchers, all spaces are organized around an internal courtyard that unites each area of the house to its center, resembling the traditional Sicilian farmhouses of the past.

The rooms and the views line up in a sequence of spaces and colors creating a dynamic and harmonious relationship with the setting. Overlooking 360 degree views on the countryside, the house celebrates the sounds, colors and pure scents of Sicily.

Bedrooms

There are six bedrooms that can accommodate up to twelve guests in total. The bedrooms all take advantage of the wonderful views.
In one part of the building, where also the living area is positioned, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom can be found, sharing a private bathroom. On the other side of the building the other bedrooms are positioned, all double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all en-suite.
All bedrooms look out on to the magical landscape beyond.
Each bedroom benefits from unequalled privacy, quietness and serenity.

There are 5 modern bathrooms with high quality fittings.

Kitchen

You cannot miss the warm sunshine yellow in the fully equipped kitchen and the clear blue with splashes of red and yellow furnishings in the comfortable living areas. The kitchen is extremely well-appointed with double appliances, two ovens, two dishwashers, plenty of equipment and a supply of basic cooking products. It is ideal for group cooking and cooking courses as you can spread out on the dining table indoors and the long outdoor table facing the kitchen. You can diversify your evenings by using the stone bbq and table in the garden with views over the landscape or stay at the long table in the cosy courtyard.

Living rooms

The interiors are spacious and airy, with separate but interrelated living areas that open out to the courtyard including a lounge, a spacious kitchen and dining area.

Other rooms

There is a service area for the laundry, a WC and a staff single bedroom/ storage room behind the kitchen.

Outside

The house is surrounded by natural gardens and lawns and as you are on top of a hill it's all about views here. The central connecting courtyard is the ideal outside living room. From here a staircase will also take you to the roof terrace with the most beautiful panoramic views. A separate area among the pomegranates is dedicated to outdoor simple cooking on the old-style BBQ with a large sturdy table. The relaxing area by the large infinity pool (10 x 4 meters and 1,50 meters deep) comes complete with sun deck and sun loungers, two shaded terrace areas, outside kitchenette and a raised lounging terrace offers tantalizing sunset views set in complete harmony with the natural surroundings. Changing rooms, showers and WC are discreetly at hand.

Notes

The grounds are ideal for holiday fun in the sun with a large swimming pool, an outdoor lounge and dining areas, and space to spread out and relax in style.

Activities

Immersed next to the protected and stunningly beautiful Vendicari Nature Reserve and just a twenty minute walk to some of the best beaches on the island, you’ll have the best of both worlds. The reserve is located halfway between Noto and Pachino extending into almost four thousand acres of forests and undisturbed marine and bird eco-systems that open to a clear sea and long, golden beaches including: Tonnara, Eloro, Pizzuta, Calamosche and Marianelli (they are all easily accessible within a short drive or walk from the house). The pretty seaside fishing village of Marzamemi is a ten minutes drive and is well know for it’s seafood and the central Tonnara square, full of traditional restaurants and bars as well as its film festival in July. Nearby Noto is a historic UNESCO World Heritage site with some of the most spectacular and elegant Baroque sites in the world and is one of the gems in the greater Val di Noto region along with its sister cities of Modica, Ragusa and Scicli, all reachable within a short drive. Make a day of it. The port town of Siracusa is a significant archaeological area with an ancient Greek amphitheater, the Orecchio di Dionisio Cave, Apollo’s Temple and the Teatro Romana ruins. Be sure not to miss the Ortigia neighborhood. The Marina di Modica, Marina di Ragusa and the Andrea Doria promenade, feature some of the areas most popular beaches on the island including Sampieri, Pozzallo and Donnalucata.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:
