Le Carubbe

Le Carubbe is a restored former farmhouse, transformed into a holiday home and was completed in summer of 2017. The house is designed and owned by an architect from Bologna. This wonderful home is perfectly integrated in the landscape behind the baroque town of Noto, and offers superb views towards the sea, the town and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Here the arcitect fould the perfect balance between luxury and purity. The three bedrooms, all with private bathroom, are all positioned on the ground floor. A fourth bathroom with shower is accessible via the living-room. All the rooms are connected with one another and can also be accessed individually from the garden. The 7x7 meters squared pool with salted water was designed to resemble a 'Gebbia': an antique water reservoir and is surrounded only by the natural, original vegetation of the area.

Le Carubbe and the area of Noto offer everything you could wish for a relaxing and cultural holiday in Southeast Sicily. Noto is a very lively town, Beautiful due to all baroque architecture, with amazing buildings in honey yellow stone. The town is full of nice bars, good restaurants of a high quality level, also design wise. It's the perfect town for evening strolls until very late at night. Within 45 kms from the house there are several other Baroque towns wordt a visit like, Scicli, Modica and Ragusa Ibla (all World Heritage Unesco sites) and Siracusa with the unique town centre on the peninsula Ortigia and the Greek theatre. For those in search of stunning scenery, also close by are the natural reserve of Vendicari with 5 sandy beaches, Cava Grande with natural swimming pools, the necropolis of Pantalica, and the Monti Iblei with the beautiful small baroque town of Palazollo Acreide and its amphitheatre. From Noto you can also easily make a day trip to Mount Etna, Catania, Taormina or Agrigento.

Bedrooms

3 spacious bedrooms with 3 double beds (1,60 x 2,00 m) and 1 single bed in one of the bedrooms. The rooms are comfortably decorated with nice bed linen, good mattresses, linen curtains. Ceiling fans in every bedroom, next to the airconditioning.

Bathrooms

4 bathrooms with shower and wc-bidet, tiled with beautiful antique Sicilian tiles.

Kitchen

Open kitchen with induction hob and oven. American fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Kitchen is well equipped. Large table in the kitchen. Table on current pictures has been changed in 2018 into a more regular, smooth comfortable table.

Nice cozy living with lounge sofa which opens to the outside dining area.

Outside

Large outside table with stools around on the back side of the house. In 2018 a pergola has been installed (on the pictures there is still a sail). There are low seating chairs for aperitive and relaxing and sunbeds around the pool. The roof terrace gives an magnificent 360 degrees view over the entire area. Next the pool a gas bbq with worktop and sink is ideal voor outside cooking. 7 x 7 meters saltwater pool with black liner. Notes

The road for arriving to the house is asphalthed until 500 neters before the house. The last part is a white road, partly natural stone road, which needs some careful driving but can be taken easily with every type of car.
