Righette

This spacious single-storey villa has a small but perfectly formed pool and offers a spectacular base from which to explore Sicily’s southeast corner

Righette is a modern villa for two, tucked into the side of a hill with breathtaking views over the rough, rural landscape of coastal Sicily. Yet, the beautiful baroque town of Noto is just 2km away.

The property, which was recently built, opens onto a fabulous veranda that runs the full length of the building. Here, there is a dining table and a lounge area, beyond which is a long wooden deck with a small pool. It has the feel of a safari deck and the views to match.

Inside, the white walls are complemented by monochrome stripes on the sofas which gives the property its name, and cheerful artwork by Artist Bortusk Leer. The large living space has a kitchen at one end and a lounge area at the other, while the bedroom is big and comfortable with the principal focus being the incredible view.

Guests will no doubt gravitate outside to the terrace. If you want to venture further afield, there is lots to see and do. Whether that’s to do with Sicily’s delicious food, rich history or beautiful beaches, this is a perfect base.

Bedrooms

The clean design of the large double bedroom offers a simple backdrop to the incredible view. A large comfy bed next to sliding doors out onto the veranda means guests can enjoy the landscape before they’ve even got up.

Bathrooms

There are three shower rooms, all in neutral colours. Although simple in design, the high-quality fixtures and fittings won’t disappoint.

Kitchen

The main room houses the kitchen, dining and living space. Spacious in size and mostly monochrome, the kitchen end has a wall-mounted oven and microwave, while a gas hob and sink are at one end of a chic black island. The back wall has four cheerful Bortusk Leer artworks. There are four bar stools at the island although guests are more likely to eat out on the veranda from where there are captivating views towards the sea.

Living rooms

In the lounge area of the main room there are two sofas in bold monochrome stripes for guests to laze on. Although, chances are you will have found one of the sun loungers by the pool or the shaded sitting area at the other end of the veranda.

Outside

Righette is the annex to a larger property although both retain total privacy. There are sets of sliding doors from both the bedroom and the main room that open onto the veranda that runs the length of the building. Here, there is a dining table for four and a comfy sofa and chairs. Beyond the veranda is a long wooden deck with a plunge pool (2m x 4m) perfectly placed in the corner in front of an ancient olive tree. Similar to a safari deck, it affords incredible views across the rolling Sicilian landscape to the sea. Guests can and will happily spend hours soaking in the beauty of it all.

Righette is the private annex of a larger property. Please note that guests of this annex have their own separate entrance, private pool, private parking and private garden. Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.
