Villa Neroli

The owners, 2 Belgian Architects, created this white modern villa with unique 'golden' style pool. What a dream to look over the old town of Noto on one side and over the ocean on the other side.

Villa Neroli is an exceptional holiday home in Sicily, located in the sunny southeast, with endless views over almond and olive trees, the baroque town of Noto and in the distance the Ionian Sea. It is a special project of the Belgian owners, architects themselves, one of love for natural materials, design, and quality.

The villa is bright, spacious, and decorated with Italian design furniture. The white concrete floor and walls make for a minimalist effect. The use of natural materials such as wooden window frames, stone walls, warm color details and striking paintings created by a local artist, bring the Mediterranean atmosphere inside.

Villa Neroli is situated in an exceptional location. Only a few kilometers away from Noto, with a fantastic offer of restaurants (from pizzerias to fine dining and authentic slow food) and 30 minutes from other splendid baroque cities such as Modica, Siracusa, and Ragusa. The Ionian Sea is a 15-minute drive, as is the beautiful Vendicari nature reserve with gorgeous secluded beaches.

Bedrooms

Casa Neroli has a total of four bedrooms with private bathroom, all with custom-made comfortable beds, Boffi design ceiling fans and some with doors that open to the garden and overlooking the city, valley and the sea.
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor, of which one is airconditioned and the others with Boffi fans. The rooms feature unique details, colorful design accessories, made by local artists. The paintings made by Sergio Fiorentino, an artist from Noto are eye-catching!
The third bedroom has two single beds, a Boffi ceiling fan, and a beautiful ochre color wardrobe. This room has a notable high window with spectacular views over the valley and next door a bathroom with shower (in bath), toilet, and sink.

Two bedrooms have a double bed, a Boffi ceiling fan and sliding doors giving direct access to the terrace both with stunning sea views. Both rooms have an en-suite bathroom closed by a beautiful black glass sliding door and includes a shower, toilet, and sink.

On the first floor is another bedroom with a double bed and a wooden Boffi ceiling fan.

A special glass sliding door opens to the marble shower room and freestanding designer sink. This room has a private terrace overlooking the imposing Cathedral of Noto.

Kitchen

The Boffi kitchen, part of the living area is equipped with a gas cooktop, a dishwasher, a large refrigerator (that is situated in a pantry), a Nespresso coffee machine, and a large oven. A dining table is part of the cooking isle.

Living rooms

The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and an inviting gas fireplace. The large windows and an immense sliding glass wall seamlessly merge the inside with the outside. The eye-catcher in the living room is the open kitchen with a solid wooden bar table.

Other rooms

In the basement of the villa, children can entertain themselves with table football and other games (a Jenga game, Kubb, Connect4 and many Dutch (comic) books.

Outside

Villa Neroli is situated on large grounds with hundreds of olive trees, citrus trees, and various types of cacti that provide an oasis of scents. The outdoor areas are optimally equipped for cooking, dining, sunbathing and enjoying the relaxing holiday atmosphere. The center point is the high stone wall, with an outdoor kitchen and pizza oven. Here you also find the fabulous swimming pool (4x16 meters long and 1.45 meters deep) with a shallow area where the little ones can play. The pool water has a particular green water color due to the golden paint that has been used for the inside. Around the pool, there are plenty of sun loungers and beach chairs as well as a few parasols to read a book in the shade. The swimming pool can be heated at an extra fee. Extended to the living room is the panoramic terrace with a concrete table (with built-in chessboard) for 12 people ideal for long lunches and dinners with below you a view of the illuminated city of Noto. Around the house are several terraces and a wonderful lawn. For outdoor fun, there is a built-in trampoline and a pétanque court.

Notes

The swimming pool is open from May to October. The pool can be heated on request against separate costs. (Small) pets are welcome on request.

Air The nearest airports are: Comiso[CIY] (85km); Catania[CTA] (86km); Palermo[PMO](330km). Train The nearest train station to the property is in Noto (3km). Road The property is just a few km from Noto which is accessed off the coast road (E45) along the SP59.

30 minutes from other splendid baroque cities such as Modica, Siracusa, and Ragusa. The Ionian Sea is a 15-minute drive, as is the beautiful Vendicari nature reserve with gorgeous secluded beaches. Siracusa, at only 40 km distance from the house. Enjoy the distant past while visiting its archaeological area. Or wander over the island of Ortigia, in the labyrinth of charming medieval streets rich of historical monuments. This is a true gem!

To prevent any possible spread of Covid-19 and to enable you to enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday, all our villas are cleaned to the highest standard possible, and according to the latest Italian health and safety regulations.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:

To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa
To guarantee cleaning and disinfection of all areas according to national authority guidelines. Further information is available on request
For the swimming pool: to guarantee the efficacy of the water treatments, while respecting legal limits (the parameter for free active chlorine in the pool is between 1.0 – 1.5 mg/l; combined chlorine ≤ 0.40 mg/l; pH 6.5 – 7.5 or equivalent oxygen)
For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
