Casa Asia

This is the perfect holiday destination: The best design, in the middle of town, with pool and views to die for.

Casa Asia, is restored in 2014 used to be a simple stone building on the edge of the city walls. The house has been completely redesigned and renovated in a fresh and contemporary style became a wonderful holiday home for 6 in the middle of the medievel town of Spello.

The atmosphere is a complete relaxation, the greatest luxury is the lush garden with swimming pool and stunning views of the Umbrian hills. Rosemary, sage, verbena, thyme and lavender scent the air. The owner, also designer, created the kindhome-away-from-home that experienced travelers expect. They decorated it with her favorite palette of colors and the items found on her many travels.

The house is ideal as an extra accommodation for larger groups (12-14 guests in total) When renting Villa Volta, which can be reached via the garden (privacy guaranteed!).

From th same owner, La Giraffe can be rented simultaneously. This house for two people is 30 meters away from Casa Asia and makes the house ideal for 8 people, or together with villa Volta for 16 people.

Rooms description

Bedrooms

The Masterbedroom is situated on the first floor with a wonderful view to the garden and the Umbrian hills. The colors of the Moroccan rug pull together perfectly with the red king size bed from Minotti. The curtains are made from fine Indian cotton. Ensuite bathroom: modern, chic with double shower, bidet and WC. The Yellow Room is set on the lower garden level. From the garden walk down a broad stone staircase to reach this beautiful and calm bedroom. Furnished with a king size bed from FLOU and small charming tables from Gervasoni. The yellow and greens compete with souvenirs bought in Laos, Cambodia and Burma. In the room is a fully equipped shower room. Being able to step out of bed and into the garden is a real treat. This bedroom feels as a small private apartment and give total privacy to the guests who will stay here. The Blue Room is set on garden level. The Spirit of the Eolian Sicilian Islands echoes in the beautiful blue color and rich textiles, teamed with cool white walls and an old cotto floor. King size bed 'Ghost' from Gervasoni. Ensuite bathroom with a double shower and antique marble sink. Beautiful view to the garden.

The kitchen and living area are in one room on entry level. Light and airy open space. Pretty, practical and un-fussy but perfectly furnished. On the right is the kitchen and dining area (dining table for 6 - 8 guests). To the left a comfortable sofa covered with old linen and beautiful colored pillows. Opposite a modern flat screen television hidden behind an old door. The floors throughout are a soft, grey resin finish and the accent color is green. Chic, cheerful and modern.

Outside

Umbria has an excellent climate. Being outside, dining or resting and reading is one of our greatest holiday pleasures, especially after long days exploring the region. The owner provided the perfect setting. The garden was designed and planted to allow plenty of space to lie in the sun as it moves from east to west. Recline on a shady day bed piled with soft pillows or spend the evenings enjoying local salami, ham and cheese with a glass of excellent wine around the old table and chairs which the owner bought in different flea markets all over the world. Cooking can also be done outside in the open kitchen next to the pool. Wonderful view overlooking the Chiona Valley. No traffic noise and your eyes will see nothing of the modern world, just the Italian landscape at its very best! Small, pond style pool, perfectly integrated into the garden.

From Spello to Perugia, the provincial capital, is a 20 minutes drive. Also Foligno, which is great for shopping, max is 10 minutes away from the villa. In Foligno you will find the best restaurants, bars, small shops and more famous brands. All shops bars and restaurants on walking distance from the house.

Travel

Nearest airports are Umbria International Airport Sant'Egidio near Perugia (24 km), Rome Fiumicino (192 km) and Ciampino (179 km) International Airports and Florence International Airport (196 km); nearest SS75 Motorway exit is Spello (1km). The train station of Foligno is near and in Foligno are also car rentals available.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:

To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa

For the swimming pool: to guarantee the efficacy of the water treatments, while respecting legal limits (the parameter for free active chlorine in the pool is between 1.0 – 1.5 mg/l; combined chlorine ≤ 0.40 mg/l; pH 6.5 – 7.5 or equivalent oxygen)
For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
