Villa Genga

This is a real ‘get away from it all’ holiday. From the location of the house to the comfortable interiors, everything is designed for maximum relaxation.

Peaceful place lost in nature, away from the crowd and the noise, this ethnic chic style luxury villa, using natural colors and materials in harmony with the surroundings, is the perfect place to spend relaxing holidays with family or among friends.

Villa Genga dates back to 1770 AD and has always been an farm. When the current owners bought the remains in 2018 they took the old building down and built it from scratch again, using some of the old materials from the farm. Externaly the style of the old Marchigian farmhouses remained.

The house is perfectly positioned in the green hills on 20 minutes from the Adriatic beaches. Nice comfortable outside areas for eating and relaxing and a perfect heated pool of 12 x 4 meters. The house offers room for 8 guests and offers all comfort you would like to find for your holidays.

Inside, the interiors are simply yet beautifully furnished in a light modern style. The house has plenty of original features, the floors are floored in smooth concrete and wooden beams are exposed throughout. The sitting room has plenty of space for stretching out with a good book and the fireplace is great for cosying up with a fire out of season. The bedrooms are light withnice linens and the bathrooms are decorated in neutral colours and high-quality fittings. The free-standing tub is the cherry on the cake.

This is the ideal home for a family vacation where you stay in close contact with nature and the beach is nearby!

On the ground floor there is a large master bedroom with spacious Italian shower, double sink, separate toilet and a KingSize double bed (180×200cm).
On the first floor there are 3 different bedrooms: a Master Bedroom with a KingSize bed (180x200cm), a spacious Italian shower, a sink and a separate toilet, another bedroom with 2 single beds of 90x200cm and a another bedroom with 2 single beds of 90x200cm with a connecting fitness corner divided by a glass wall. All bedrooms are airconditioned.

Bathrooms

There are 3 comfortable bathrooms with showers. One bathroom has a bathtub.

Kitchen

The open kitchen is fully equipped with American fridge (ice dispenser and filtered fresh water), Induction cooking, oven and microwave, coffee machine (Nespresso capsules and a traditional Italian Moka) and dishwasher.

Living rooms

The living area consists of a spacious living room (with open fire, satellite TV, DVD player, a Marshall Bluetooth portable speaker), a dining-room with a large table for 12 people.

On the ground floor there is a laundry area with washing machine and dryer and also a guest toilet can be found here.

Outside

The house is perfectly immersed into the green hilly surroundings. The garden contains many trees, among some old olive trees and fruit trees. The outside areas are made for a maximum of enjoying: a large covered terrace with a large wooden dining table for 12 guests, a lounge sitting area, a gas barbecue with teppanyaki/ plancha, a pizza stone and an additional charcoal barbecue in stone. The house also has a beautiful 4 x 12m heated swimming pool, with a beach immersed underwater (ideal for small children or relaxation for adults) and an external Italian shower (warm/cold). Pool heating is based upon solar panels. This means that only from June to end of September the water can be heated to a comfortable temperature. Although the quality always depends on the weather conditions. In Spring and Autumn warm water cannot be guaranteed. The property is fully fenced, surrounded by field and hills, and is located at the end of a small farmer’s path which ensures absolute tranquillity vis-à-vis the main road.

Notes

It is advised to avoid sports cars! The end of the white gravel road may be a bit bumpy.

Activities

For nature lovers, you will be seduced by the beauty of the Marche and places such as the Frasassi caves, the Furlo canyon, San Bartolo national parc, the Monti Sibillini or the beautiful white beaches of the Monte Conero (Lumana, Sirolo). You can go for hiking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding. In winter, you can also go Nordic or alpine skiing in the Monte Catria or Monti Sibillini. To get to the sea, it will take you less than half an hour to reach the Adriatic coast (Fano and Pesaro) with their fine sand beaches. For sophisticated modern cuisine, the Marche offers a few very good Michelin Star restaurants, next to good traditional and family restaurants which you will find everywhere around.

Specials

Activities can be organised on demand. For instance a Chef at home, cooking lessons, truffle hunting, trekking with a guide, guided vineyard tours and wine tasting or a boat trip on the Conero. Please inform!

A wide range of interesting festivals and markets take place during the year, such as the Rossini Opera Festival in August in Pesaro, the historic Palio in Cagli (August) or the autumn truffle markets in Acqualagna and Pergola.

Villa Genga is 3 kms away from the small medieval town of Mombaroccio. Here some basic shopping can be done. Large Supermarkets near Fano, which will be a 20 minutes drive. Fano is a lovely large town with nice shops and terraces and good fish restaurants.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa

For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
