La Posta is an historic farmhouse that dates from medieval times when, as the name suggests, it was used as a staging post for travellers. It underwent a thorough renovation in 2007 by a commercial company, since when the interiors have been further updated.

The property is spread across two connecting buildings, with a large glass veranda offering a substantial covered dining terrace with incredible views over the Val di Chiana.

For heating, the hotel area is equipped with hot/cold heat-pump air conditioning. There are also gas radiators in the corridors and gas-powered traditional towel radiators in the bathrooms.
There is a cistern for collecting rainwater, but there is no well.
The wastewater system works via a septic tank with natural dispersion.
