Murole
The gardens and pool of this fabulous and characterful property are a private haven just moments from lovely restaurants, bars and shops
This beautiful palazzo on a gorgeous square in the far south of Puglia is a magical place to gather a large group of family or friends.
The property, which dates back to the sixteenth century, is a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional style, thanks to a clever restoration that has preserved many of the palazzo’s original features, mixing them with sleek modern finishes.
Built over two floors, the property has an internal courtyard, roof terraces a delightful garden with an outdoor kitchen and a long, thin pool. It’s a house that delights at every turn, mixing barrel-vaulted ceilings with large glass doors, stylish modern furniture with antique pieces, private corners with large social spaces, all decorated with art from the owners’ private collection.
There are four double and two large triple bedrooms, and seven bathrooms. The fully equipped kitchen has two smaller annex rooms and a further old-style kitchen. The magnificent dining room is light and bright with a large stone fireplace and a table that seats up to 16, while the living rooms offer plenty of space to relax and entertain.
The restaurants, shops and bars of Muro Leccese are a short stroll away and the coast is just ten minutes by car.
For bigger groups, including wedding parties, larger celebrations or retreats, it’s possible to rent Murole with Licce, the sister property next door. Both properties together can accommodate up to 30 guests. If rented together, joint access is available through the gardens.
