On the first floor of a historical Sicilian building, Domus is enriched with all original materials boasting beautiful tiles and frescoed ceilings, with a true vintage charm and yet very fresh and full of light.

Positioned in an exceptionally central location in the magical peninsula Ortigia (Sicarcusa)  this very comfortable two-bedroom apartment, located at the first floor of a charming ancient building of the town, has been recently renovated to obtain, furthering partitioning the space, a comfortable living room, a kitchen area and two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms with showers.

The use of pastel colors, confers to Domus a soft touch, with a hint that reminds of the atmosphere of the 60s and creating an overall soft and elegant house which keeps intact the frescoed vaulted ceilings, the vibrantly colorful tiles that create beautiful geometries and some original vintage furniture pieces.

Just five-minute walking from the seaside, Domus is also located in the beating heart of the town, close to excellent restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. It is the perfect unconventional hideaway for those who want to have a car-free vacation.

Rooms description


Two large bedrooms with double bed both are present at Domus. Both are exquisitely designed and one preserves the original frescoed vaulted ceiling. Beautiful 60's antique decor furniture pieces complete the whole atmosphere above the passing of time.
The other bedroom has a more contemporary touch thanks to the high to ceiling panel.
Both rooms boast AC.


Two modernly equipped and conceived en-suite bathrooms with design showers, of which one room as a magnificent double shower behind a theater style curtain. Both bathrooms are characterized by a particular use of materials such as resins.


The nicely equipped kitchen is present with all the amenities to make the stay perfectly comfortable, although the most wonderful restaurants and bars you will find on your doorstep.

Living rooms

Large windows and high ceiling, typical of an upscale apartment building, with this milky light green color of the wall, and a collection of 20th-century furniture. A comfortable sofa, armchairs and nice design elements like a retro style functioning Vinyl-player.

There is a seperate laundry with washing machine, sink and room for storage.

One of the bedrooms has a small french balcony. Here you will live most of the time outside, on the many terraces, walking along the coastline or laying at the beach. The sea is 50 meters from the apartment, with also the possibility to stay at the beach and do your morning swim!

Leisure & Activities


Beaches are at 5 minutes walking where the guests can find the beach resorts of Lido and Zefiro, or just can step in the sea wherever they like as Ortigia is surrounded by the sea. Other important beaches are found at approximately 25 km and those are in the Fontane Bianche area.


It is possible to organize an in-house cook upon request.


Theatrical season at the Greek Theater – from May to July in Siracusa Ortigia Festival - July: This is an artistic and cultural gathering that is full of international events, held in the Isle of Ortigia (and in the Neapolis archeological area). The shows include plays, ballets, concerts, poetry readings and lots more too.

Your villa and Covid-19

To prevent any possible spread of Covid-19 and to enable you to enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday, all our villas are cleaned to the highest standard possible, and according to the latest Italian health and safety regulations.

Perfect hygiene: to ensure an exceptional level of hygiene in all our villas, we’ve worked with our owners to create a Covid-19 villa management protocol. Based on recommendations from the World Health Organisation, and in compliance with current Italian national law, this protocol goes above and beyond our usual rigorous cleaning standards.

Prior to arrival, your villa will have been fully sanitised, including all surfaces, objects, kitchen items, curtains, sofas, throws, pillows, toys, and in and around the pool. You are welcome to ask for a detailed list of the entire cleaning procedure we do after each departure and before welcoming new guests to the property.

The owner of this house has complied with the following standards:

  • To ensure the necessary information concerning social distancing and the use of masks is available to all guests
  • To guarantee availability of and accessibility to hand hygiene systems with hydro-alcoholic solutions and soaps in all inside areas of, and pertaining to, the villa
  • To guarantee cleaning and disinfection of all areas according to national authority guidelines. Further information is available on request
  • For the swimming pool: to guarantee the efficacy of the water treatments, while respecting legal limits (the parameter for free active chlorine in the pool is between 1.0 – 1.5 mg/l; combined chlorine ≤ 0.40 mg/l; pH 6.5 – 7.5 or equivalent oxygen)
  • For air conditioning systems: to guarantee the air re-circulation function is switched off and, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, with the plant in off-mode, to clean the air filters of the heating/cooling plants that use heat pumps, fan coils and convectors, at the end of each stay
