Summary

Casa Quadro is a former hay barn that in the period 2003-2007 has been turned into a light modern finished country house. The property is settled in the hills that bank the Tiber river, just north east of the medieval and very well sought city of Todi. The panoramic views from the house in southern direction on the surroundings and the hilltop on which Todi is perched are amongst the best in Umbria. Casa Quadro has a simple rectangular lay out with all rooms on one single floor among which 4 bedrooms and 3 bath rooms. All rooms have direct access to the garden and swimming pool area. In front of the living room/kitchen area is a large pergola with the same excellent views. Also, there's a unheated swimming pool (4x14m) including a storage. On the entire partly fenced land with entrance gate are approximately 130 olive trees, 20 fruit trees and 1 ha of wood land at the back of the house. Casa Quadro can be easily reached via a well kept road.

The majestic hill top, walled town of Todi is approximately 10 minutes drive from the villa. A study by Richard Levine, Professor at the University of Kentucky, concluded that Todi is one of the best places in the world to live on the basis of its environment, housing and lifestyle. Cars can be parked at the foot of the town from where a funicular lift ascends to the centre in couple of minutes. The views are breathtaking and an extensive range of restaurants, shops, historical and cultural attractions are on hand.

In the hamlet of Quadro at 2 km is a bar. All main facilities are in the town of Todi at about 10km from the property. Todi is one of the most impotant medieval towns in Umbria and is rich of both Roman architecture as well as Romanic and Reinassance churches. Most of the shops are around the main square, where you can find delicious food boutiques, with local products (oil sale point of Oleificio La Casella) as well as beautiful linen shops of the umbrian tradition.
