About Puglia

Puglia is a unique region in the far South east of the Italian peninsula. It is famous for its circular houses with cone-like roof, with its center in the UNESCO Heritage site of Alberobello as well as big fields of centuries old olive trees, but it is such a complete region with so much more to offer. In the north one would visit the greenest Gargano peninsula, more south the area of Foggia with Andria where you will find Castel del Monte, one of the few octagonal castles in the world. Ostuni is a blindingly white city presiding on top of a hill. The Valle d’Itria is one of the most beautiful valley areas of Italy, with Martina Franca as a must-see site. More to the South one can find Baroque treasure of Lecce, a honey colored city with a lively center. More over Puglia has a long-stretched coast line with villages like Polignano a Mare at the Adriatic coast and Gallipoli at the Ionian sea side.

Puglia stands for variety, lovely sites, and more over great friendly people. As so many Italian regions Puglia is an area to go back to over and over again.
